I use cloth wipes, but not as much as I would like to. I am the only one who routinely uses them, so we go through a lot of baby wipes. But currently I just use baby wash clothes with a solution of water and baby bath soap. If I start staying home and using cloth wipes exclusively, I plan on getting some Thirsties wipes or Itti Bitti wipes.
Cloth diapered babies don't tend to get diaper rash as often as their disposable diapered counterparts. But if you have a super pooper like Destructo who is diaper rash prone, you need a diaper rash cream that is safe with your cloth diapers. My preferred ointment is Grandma El's. I am going to be trying to make my own ointment at some time in the near future though. We shall see how that goes.
So in short, these are a few of my favorite diapering accessories that just make my life so much easier. I hate when we go somewhere overnight and I have to leave my diaper sprayer behind. It is one of my closest friends. Haha So, what cloth diapering accessories do you find you can't live without?

I really need to do a post like this, but every time I set down to type out a blog on cloth diapering, it becomes SO long! I guess I need to break it down. I believe our guys are about the same age... my LO is 21 months. How old is yours?

ReplyDeleteI am still contemplating whether to buy a diaper sprayer in the near future. I also wanted just to make one ourselves but I have heard that you don't end up saving that much money anymore.
