Salt dough Ornaments

First of Merry Christmas to all my lovely readers!  I hope everyone is having a blessed holiday.

I wanted to post this post the other day but got another stomach bug grrr.
We made salt dough ornaments the other day.  It was a huge mess but they turned out quite cute.
What a mess!

It was a cup of flour, a cup of salt and about a half cup of water added slowly to make a dough.
You then roll it out and make shapes, hand prints, whatever.
Then you cook it on 200 degrees for a few hours until it is hard and not sticky anymore.  I did flip mine once to speed up the process.
I then painted it with glitter acrylic paints and once that had dried covered it with mod podge to seal it.
All it needs is a ribbon

  2. That stomach bug sure has been going around. I managed to get lucky this time around and not get it, however my hubs and girls were not so lucky. Glad you are feeling better! And wow what a mess, but I just love the hand print, we made these a few years ago but I never did think to do a hand print. Guess we know what we will be doing next year! Thanks for sharing on We Made That!

    1. I didn't end up getting to make any this year. Made me sad. I was planning on doing reindeer foot prints but it just didn't happen. Boo.
